e-mails to friends and family.
And, remember, every bit you raise helps homeless animals.

Fundraising Tips:
- Set a pledge goal.
- Raise money online - Participate!
- A Fundraising Web Page will be created for you so you can post photos and a message to your supporters.
- From your Web page you can e-mail family and friends so they can learn more about your participation in the Mutt Strut and will have the ability to make online donations in your support.
- Conduct a Letter-Writing Campaign. See the samples below for more information.
- Send an e-mail broadcast message to all your friends and family members, even those out of state, asking them to sponsor you. Better yet, see if they want to spend a beautiful spring day in Michigan and walk with you!
- You can also track your progress and see who has made a pledge online.
- Create a link to your Web page from your blog, MySpace, or Facebook sites to generate even more support.
- Create a slide show for YouTube.
- Print a Pledge Collection Form (opens as a PDF document) and use it to collect offline pledges. You can turn it in at the shelter before the event to have it entered on to your Fundraising Web Page.
- Many companies offer a matching gifts program which could double the size of your contribution. Check with your Human Resources Department.
- Spread the word through messages on your home answering machine and voice mail.
