Highlights include NEW Attend The Mutt Meet & Mingle! A "woof and woo" or meet and greet event for singles from 3pm-6pm, Saturday, hosted by and at Buffalo Wild Wings. NEW Join the Friends Fido's Fit Club! This is a support group centered on walking and staying fit with your own dog or a shelter dog. Register to WOOF (walk for fitness with Fido) at Mutt Strut. Meet-and-greet during our Chihuahua Reunion, featuring the now internationally famous Chi dogs rescued in 2009. NEW Children and Parents, learn about safety around dogs you don't know and receive a free activity booklet; participate in a Lure Race for fun with Doggie Dash De Lure; or see how reading to your dog can improve your child’s reading skills with the Fur Angels. Celebrate with the Friends! Participate in our Adopted Dog Birthday Paw-ty or visit with a new four-legged friend. Get information about other Friends' activities, find out how to volunteer, and take your chances in the Rin Tin Tin-Can Raffle. A demonstration by former Detroit Tigers pitcher Milt Wilcox and his Ultimate Air Dogs. Not only is it exciting to watch these ultimate dog athletes but you will have the opportunity to see if your pooch is an ultimate jumper. Stop by the Doggie Health Zone, including a Microchip Clinic so that if your friend ever does stray we can help him find you again and Mini Health Screenings to ensure that your pup is in tip-top shape. Think your dog has the most spots, longest ears, or best howl? Think your dog performs the best trick? If so, visit the Doggie Fun Zone for games, contests, some freestyle dancing with your favorite pooch and much, much more. Stop and shop the booths at the Vendor Expo featuring pet-themed merchandise and services. You and your family can remember your paw-tastic day by having a Caricature drawn or a Pet Photo snapped; meet your next pet sitter or dog groomer, or pamper your pooch with treats, bling or a doggie massage. Many businesses along the walk route will be going to the dogs for the weekend. Visit all the dog friendly businesses.
